Scope

This policy explains what data we collect when you use Xuanji Hall, how we use it, and how you can manage it. The questions you ask, the hexagrams you cast, the interpretations you receive, and your conversation history are linked only to your account. We do not show them to other users, and we do not provide them to third parties except to the AI providers that write your interpretations (see Section IV).

II

What We Collect

(a) Account data: the email address you sign in with; if you sign in with Google, LINE or Apple, also the name and profile picture that service provides (where available). If you sign in with Apple and choose to hide your email, we receive an Apple relay address, and Apple forwards mail sent to it to your inbox. (b) Billing data: your stalk balance, top-up and subscription history. (c) Birth data: the birth date and hour you provide for charting, used only for charting and readings. (d) Conversations and notes: your conversation history with the AI Reader, and the notes the AI Reader keeps to carry your conversations forward; you can delete these at any time. (e) Technical data: device type (phone / tablet / desktop), browser, operating system, and approximate location (country, region, city, supplied by Cloudflare's edge network); we don’t keep your IP address itself — to prevent abuse (such as claiming the sign-in gift twice or sending in bulk), we keep only a one-way hash of it. (f) Conversations before you sign in: questions and readings from before you sign in are stored under a visitor ID for this device, with no name or email; if you then sign in on that device, the conversation you have open moves into your account.

III

How We Use Your Data

The data above is used only for the following purposes: to provide account functions such as sign-in, counting readings, and top-ups; to generate and store your interpretations and charts; to handle your feedback and complaints and to troubleshoot service failures; and to improve interpretation quality and the product experience (statistical analysis is performed on anonymized or aggregated data). We do not sell, rent, or otherwise provide your personal data to any third party, except to the processors that help us provide the service (see Section IV), where required by law, or where you have given explicit consent.

IV

Third-party Services

The service uses the following third-party services to process data: (a) AI model providers: interpretations are written by AI, so your questions, conversation and the birth details needed for charting are sent to third-party AI providers (currently Anthropic and DeepSeek), used only to write your interpretation; for a Personal Chart Book, the name, birth details, life summary and questions you enter are sent to Anthropic, used only to write your book; (b) Google, LINE and Apple (third-party sign-in: only when you choose to sign in with one of them, they provide us with an account identifier and the email address, name and profile picture you agree to share); (c) Supabase (authentication and data storage); (d) Cloudflare (hosting and delivery); (e) Resend (sign-in emails and Personal Chart Book emails); (f) Stripe (payment processing on the website; we do not access or store your card or bank details) — purchases in the app are processed by the app store you downloaded it from, and we receive only the transaction record; (g) analytics tooling (PostHog, for anonymous or aggregated usage statistics; never your questions or readings); (h) Meta Pixel and Google Analytics (website only: visits and ad performance, never your questions, readings or birth details; not used in the app). These providers process data only to the extent required to deliver their respective functions.

V

Cookies and Local Storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences; the website also uses Meta and Google analytics cookies (see Section IV (h)). You can clear this data in your browser at any time; in the app, deleting the app clears it. After clearing it, you will need to sign in again.

VI

Your Rights

You can delete your conversations at any time in Past questions (the Case Archive on the website). To delete your whole account yourself, sign in to the Xuanji Hall app, open Me and tap Delete account at the bottom: your account, conversations and readings, saved birth details, the AI Reader’s notes and any stalks left are deleted immediately and cannot be recovered; records of Personal Chart Book orders are kept as accounting rules require. You may also email [email protected] to request a copy of the data we hold about you, or to have us delete it for you; we will complete the request within 7 days of receiving it. If you claimed the Personal Chart Book included with a yearly Pro subscription, then, to prevent the same subscription from claiming it twice, after your account is deleted we keep only that subscription’s store transaction identifier and the time it was claimed, with no other personal data.
